Applying to the Guild
Our guild uses an application process described below:
Once you've read this website and the rules of the Guild, you are invited to adventure with guild members. We want to get to know you.
If you are low level and need some help leveling up, that's cool. We'll help and it gives us some time to see your play style.
We usually want to run around with someone for roughly a week or more as the application process time. During that time you might be asked to join our initiate's guild FriendsOfH4H. This is mostly for the lower level players who are seeking a way to get a boost up to 20. But we've had others involved who were higher. Essentially, it's a place for people to be in a less structured guild for a short time. This period of playing helps the applicant decide if they really like us as players and want to join our guild.
Our rules are intended to help us portray a Professional style of Guild. Talk to us about what the ideas of professionalism means to you.
After you've reviewed the rules, played with us for awhile, and decided you like us and want to be a member of the Guild HealersForHire, then we'll take a vote as members. This is another good reason to party up with the initiate and go on some adventures. Lets us know you well enough to have a vote.
After being voted on, if you get approved to join, then we'll schedule an Initiation with you. Our players enjoy the Role Play as much as the advancement and mechanics of the game of Last Chaos. So we have come up with an initiation ritual.
Expect to be asked some questions by other Guild Members. It is possible to fail the initiation. Especially if you really haven't read the rules and someone asks you a question about them. Why do we do this? Because we really want people to be comfortable with us and how we play this game. This isn't the end, though. If you flub a question, we'll just have you join the Friends Guild again for a time to talk to you and play with you until next time we can do an Initiation. And then you'll be prepared for it.
We have had people change their minds after playing with us for a while. The problem comes when they get insulting or antagonistic about it. Really, it's just a game. We like to play in a style of Role Play that includes creating a structured guild where the guild needs are more important than the individuals. Sometimes players don't like this. If you decide you don't want to join our guild because of this, no problem, just say so. Not everyone has the same gaming style.
So good luck with your application. And we hope you have fun.

The thread was created in response to numerous attempts by an enemy who hides behind anonymity to spout irrational and unethical argumentative forms in an attempt to discredit and detract from our guild. Sorry for the lengthy reading requirements.
