Healers for Hire : Rules of the Guild

Welcome to HealersForHire

P1 As a Professional Healers Union, our Guild is open only to High Elf Healers. We provide our services to individuals, parties, and to other guilds for a nominal fee of 100 gold per healer level hired per hour. For example, if someone needs to hire 2 level 20 healers for a temple expidition expected to last 2 hours, the fee would be 20 x 2 x 2 x 100, or 8000 gold. We perform special hunts and guild war support at fixed rates based on current guild member availability and capabilities, with prices set by the guildmaster or one of the advisors. Prices for Merac are 1000 gold per healer level hired per hour due to increased risk to our healers. Healers with Resurrect cost an additional 1000 per resurrect level as a token of respect for the extreme skill point investments involved in leveling this essential skill (non-refundable).

P2 While it may seem odd to some to pay for a healer, there is a simple reason behind it. Any time our healers are working for a client, they're not available to help the guild with other matters, such as training new members, or partying with the guild. As such, the small fee charged to customers (much less than the healer's equivelant in healing potions) is earmarked for guild upgrades and kept seperate from the rest of the guild funds. Also, having our clients pay a small fee ensures that only those who respect our professionalism and dedication to being expert healers will recieve the benefit of our combined experience.

P3 New members are not allowed to take on jobs by themselves until they have been on at least five managed missions with higher ranking guild members. During the aforementioned managed missions, the client does not pay a fee for the trainee. Until HealersForHire members reach level 15 and can cast Party Heal, they are not allowed to participate in client led missions at all, and are restricted to partying with their fellow guild members and our allied pure class mercenary guilds.

P4 Our rules on alliances have been updated. We are open to alliances with any guild that does not allow healers. Former allies are requested to renew their alliances with us at this time, provided there are no healers in their guilds. This post will be edited as needed to update any changes in alliances. Our allies do not charge our guild for their services, nor are they charged fees for our services. They give us any healer items they find, and we return the favor. Current allies include: Hustling, TheTitans, and Thieves.

P4 The Assamite guild has violated the terms of our former alliance by admitting a healer, and has thus been prohibited from hiring our healers until further notice. No member shall interact with any member of Untamed in any way, form or fashion, save to remind them that we have no dealings with their guild. This is due to Untamed's involvement and recruitment of blacklisted former member Persephony. Any guildmembers with friends presently in Untamed should notify their friends of this change in our policy and the reasons behind it, referring to Persephony's theft of guild property for which he was blacklisted.

P5 Healers who have characters in other guilds are not allowed to join our guild in order to prevent conflicts of interest with our allies and clients. If a player were allowed to have a healer in our guild, and a titan in TheTitans, and both guilds needed their members at the same time, players would have to choose which guild is more important to them at the moment and log on using that character. It is much more beneficial to all parties of our alliances that player loyalties be divided before expensive guild slots are filled. Also, if we are hired to defend the enemies of the non-healer guilded character, the healer character would be less likely to perform well. Guild upgrades cost both skill points and gold, and slots filled in multiple guilds by the same player reduce the combined power of the all involved Guilds; thus, no member of Healers for Hire may be a member of any other Guild with any character.

P6 Equipment is provided for all guild members as needed. We do our best to ensure that every guild member has the best possible equipment for their level. As such, it is against guild regulation for regular members to buy or sell equipment on their own. All purchases and sales will be made by the guildmaster or one of the guild advisors. The intent of this policy is to reduce redundancy and to better manage guild funds. All equipment and monies are guild property, and, in the event that a member leaves the guild, all property will be transferred back to the guild treasurer. Equipment will be allocated based on level, with the best equipment going to the highest level character. (Edit by Melanne, revised by Semphere) NOTE: Since these rules were originally written before the Item Mall was opened, there are specific things we did not consider. Any AP you purchase using your own money may be spent on items from the item mall for your own personal use or for sharing with guild members. Japanese Armor sets are not Guild Property. They belong to you as a player, as you've spent real world money for the AP to purchase them. Please do not use item mall Heaven Stones or Extreme Stones on guild property without persmission. Also, due to the "untradable" nature of items melded with books of melding and decorative covers, please ask permission before using weapon or armor covers on guild property.

P7 As a matter of principle, we require that our members demonstrate professional behavior at all times in game when dealing with clients and potential clients. We understand that there are those who do not understand the concepts behind our mercenary philosophy. Our policy is to simply refer them to this post, thank them for their time, and be on our way. Another aspect of our professionalism is that we would rather die than let our clients down. To facilitate this, and to ensure that our members gain experience on missions, we require that a member of HealersForHire be the party leader and form the party. We always use the Equal Party (General Party) option. While we are the party leader, our client is in control of where the party goes, and what the party does. We have one primary rule for our clients; if we order a retreat, they should run while we cover their retreat. If our clients die, we refund their fees unless they have violated this rule. We're professional healers, and we train our guild members to evaluate the situation constantly to determine the probability of client death. We train to know our limits, the limits of other classes, and the strengths and weaknesses of various monsters.

P8 Sharing knowledge among our fellow guild members is the key to our success. As an exclusive guild tailored to grow and maintain top-quality healers, we understand the importance of training each other by sharing the details of our experiences. We perform reviews of each other's performance, trade tips on character training, and suggest tactics for specific situations as often as possible.

New Rule for Applicants
P9 This guild is for people who want to play healers. If your primary character (the one you play most frequently) isn't a healer, please do not apply to our guild. We're not interested in casual gamers who aren't going to play more than once a week, either. Guild slots left idle for too long will be filled by more active players, with less active players being forced to wait for new slots to open up. If you are new to the game, please try the other classes first to be sure you won't have the desire to change class later on. All applicants must pass an initial interview with our Elven Resource Director, Melanne (http://lastchaos.aeriagames.com/user/33885). Those who show promise in the interview must pass through a 7 day trial period wherein they party exclusively with our guild members, after which they will be initiated or dismissed.

P10 Additional rules and regulations not listed here are explained during and and after training missions. If you are interested in joining the HealersForHire, please contact me in game. If you are interested in doing business with us, contact one of our members, and they will make arrangements via Guild Chat.
