When ever people are involved, it is inevitable that there will be conflict.
Given that two people have a problem, Semphere is backing off and taking a break so that the most ethical thing can be done.
For now, I am the proxy head of Guild.
I will talk to the players involved. We will resolve things with me as a neutral third party.
The people involved have my private email address. They can email me with what they want to say.
We'll try to talk online when we can schedule it.
So let the process deal with the situation and the players can get back to playing the game. It is, after all, just a game.

Resolution
I have talked to both the players involved. I have been told an apology was sent and accepted. I have also been told that the players think I treated them fairly in this process of discussing the issue involved.
I would note that I didn't have anything to do with that, the players handled it on the side on their own without needing me to tell them what to do. Frankly, mature and reasonable on both their parts.
At this point the following resolution was requested:
Would everyone stop talking about it, let it drop, and let the two people involved simply respect each other's boundaries and just go back to playing a game. It was upsetting to see friends among those who were not directly involved get mad at each other and they want that to stop.
I think that is reasonable also, so if everyone would agree at this point it will be considered closed.
I now step down as proxy and Semphere is back in place as Guild Leader.
