Active agressive behavior by Persephony against applicants. (moved to public forums)

We need to stop posting who our applicants are, and stop putting them in "FriendsOfH4H" entirely, or at least have them read this transcript. This is a transcript with annotation from a set of nine screen shots taken by Toshiko. I've contemplated posting this on the public forums, or even on the LC public forums. Maybe we can put together an anti-propoganda post based on this information, the information from Persephony's old posts in both our public and private forums, and from screen shots of his messages. If the propoganda doesn't stop, it may be time for some information warfare - counterpropoganda about Untamed.

Persephony: i didn't have very good luck with h4h

Persephony: well as long as you don't mind giving all you have and having nothing for youself while those you serve have no need of following the rules you'll be fine

SEMPHERE'S OBSERVATION: He's begging the question here - trying to plant doubt without being specific. We follow our rules.

MELANNE'S OBSERVATION: And he's lying about having nothing. Semphere bought him, with real money, items from the Item Mall that were quite definitely his.

Toshiko why do you say they don't follow their rules?

Persephony: Semphere and the guild advisors HAVE personal property don't ask them about it read the posts about me closely and you'll discover what I'm saying is true Semp clearly admits some of what I have is Katran's personal property

SEMPHERE'S OBSERVATION: If Persephony's propoganda were true, he has just admitted to stealing from Katran.

MELANNE'S OBSERVATION: This is quite the misrepresentation of the facts. When members are handed things like a Dragon or a Horse, it's to give them the responsibility. As was true in Persephony's case, Katran used that responsibility to do what was best for the guild at the time and handed them off to Persephony because he could use them more effectively at the time. Katran was specifically thinking in the best interests of the Guild and all members, not for her individual property.

Persephony: he is false in nearly all he does stay and you will find out

SEMPHERE'S OBSERVATION: I gave all my alts to the guild when I quit. They weren't on my main account.

MELANNE'S OBSERVATION: Yes, Semphere gave me his passwords to his ID to take control of those characters, too. I, as a guild advisor, suggested at the time it would be good for Semphere to take some time away from the game. What he had worked so hard for and a friendship he had so strongly built and trusted was betrayed. He was so emotionally invested at the time that I did suggested he should take a couple weeks off and decide after a while if he wanted to come back to the the game or just give it up. He made me Guild Master because the Guild is built to survive even if any member leaves it. And so we proved. Of course, he played other alts, but the ones in the Guild itself were in fact tools of the Guild, not his personal play. He created something completely different and outside the guild to regain his sense of fun with the game. After around a week, he was pretty sure he was coming back, but we still kept me in charge for a bit to keep things low key.

SEMPHERE'S OBSERVATION: avenger is my cousin's son, so he's my 1st cousin once removed. avenger was only a member of HealersForHire for about a week, sort of on a trial basis. He entered the guild months after Persephony's departure. avenger prefers a more individualist style of play that we members of HealersForHire prefer, so he decided to leave. As he was already high level and had been with us such a short time, he was permitted to leave with his pets and better gear than he had when he entered the guild.

MELANNE'S OBSERVATION: And Semphere talked with the other Guild Members about that. We all agreed, there being a conflict of interest in the Real Life familial relationship, it was best to talk among the advisors and Semphere to come to consensus. As you can see, we all agreed to this decision that given Avenger was quite temporary and it was such a short time, it was appropriate given the trial basis of the arrangement.

Toshiko: i will.
Persephony: also realise you have only heard their side of things and like most assumed they were truthful

Toshiko: its just bad propogganda
Persephony: because in reality it is semphere who is the con man and thief, and the best way to cover it up is to blame the real victim

SEMPHERE'S OBSERVATION: Isn't that what Persephony is trying to do now? Blaming the victim has been his modus operandi since he betrayed us. We're all sick of his in-game flames and attempts to undermine our guild and ferret away our applicants. We make it a policy to ignore Untamed (his guild) and Persephony and don't try to interfere with them.

MELANNE'S OBSERVATION: Persephony is an amoral and unethical person who blames others for all that goes wrong in his life. From his failed marriage (he gave me a huge earful of details about that mess which I do not feel a need to repeat, I do have some ethics and even if he is a horrible jerk, I won't betray the confidence like that) to his having bad experiences on other games to his experiences with us. He is the kind of person that deludes himself with rationalizations which he then believes. What most such people do is reflect their own mistakes and unethical behaviors on others. He is a thief, therefore he has to rationalize it by convincing himself Semphere is a thief. Look up the 'tu coque' form or argument and debate. It is a falsehood.

Toshiko: u could have defended yourself in forums to clean your name if thats true
Persephony: no a flame war would not have accomplished that

SEMPHERE'S OBSERVATION: Toshiko didn't suggest a flame war; rather, Toshiko suggested Persephony respond in a logical manner to the accusations, but Persephony could not see that. Instead, Persephony diverted the conversation from Toshiko's truth. Persephony implied that responding in his own defense would have been nothing but a flame war.

Persephony: would have made me confrontational and kent even more credibility to the accusations.

SEMPHERE'S OBSERVATION: Correct me if I'm wrong here, but isn't attempting to misinform our applicants, spreading in-game rumors, and all your other misdeeds "confrontational?" Persephony claimed that responding would have been lending more credibility to the accusations, yet here I see him responding to them in a whisper conversation he initiated with a guild applicant.

MELANNE'S OBSERVATION: That is how unethical people act. You don't confront someone directly with logical arguments, you smear and slander them behind their backs.

Toshiko: the rules say that things in the guild go to the higher level, if someone higher level than semp joins he will have better stuff than him.
Persephony: and r u higher level to test out that theory? are there any higher level players?
Toshiko: not yet
Persephony: never will be

Persephony: did everything he could to stay ahead and hold me back
Persephony: i'm level 59 now

SEMPHERE'S OBSERVATIONS: Our guild is a managed team. I'm the coach. I personally powerleveled that ingrate to level 37 from level 20, then asked him to help out some of his lower level guildmates. His guildmates helped him by supplying the gear and even the mounts he was using. When he was asked to help the guild a bit more, and when I stopped powerleveling him, he quit. In fact, I'd done everything in my power to help him rocket ahead faster than anyone else in the guild. I invested both time and money in Persephony. It was a bad investment because he's not a team player. He's a leech, never the highest member in the party, always being powerleveled by those above him, using them for as much as he can. He used us, and he'll use others.

Toshiko: taking property guild was a mistake, if u would have left alone u would have more credibility

SEMPHERE'S OBSERVATIONS: Let's look at the facts, shall we? The GM's are more than welcome to verify my statements here. They can check the server logs and see exactly what day Persephony quit HealersForHire, and they can also see that I gave him a chance to return the stolen gear: http://www.jubal.com/node/114 and more than 24 hours before I brought this issue to the public forums. The mounts in question wer normally used by Katran. Any references to "Katran's mounts" is simply much shorter than saying "The guild owned mounts that are normally used by Katran" as everyone in the guild understands that the guild itself holds rights to all property, not the individuals. As for that last comment, it's an empty statement. There are almost 500,000 people who've signed up for accounts in this game. It's not pointless to defend yourself if you're innocent, yet it is pointless to try to argue in your defense if you are guilty. The guilty will end up contradicting themselves and eventually proving their own guilt.

MELANNE'S OBSERVATIONS: And on top of that, he's lying quite blatantly. When Kat got on and asked for the mounts back to continue her leveling, she was told no. He had multiple chances to do what was right, and chose, both openly (by telling Katran "no" outright) and behind our backs (by waiting until none of us were on and quiting the Guild at that point so we might not notice for a few days) to be a thief.

Toshiko: did u give back all the items after they accuse u?
Persephony: well I gave back the 2 mounts aggreed opon by the guildmaster at the time the money and armor was donated ny another, all was supposed to be cleared up and was until Semphere reinstated himse;f publically and renigged on the deal.

MELANNE'S OBSERVATION: I required that he give back the gold and the armour and weapons. He claimed he gave the gold to Semp at that point to me and so, since Semp wasn't on to verify, I tried to be cooperative and said ok if that was true and if Persephony lied, he's the jerk. So I did what we agreed, Persephony said that he (Persephony) had given back everything (except the Armour which was an exchange, not a good exchange but there was so much at stake it seemed a reasonable one to take) and Persephony also said he had already given back the money. Nope, Pers didn't. When Semp finally showed up a couple days later, I learned I was lied to. We attempted to deal with it discreetly through intermediaries, but then it was clear Persephony was just going to continue to lie. So therefore, Pers is the one that broke the deal. And Semp attacked him on the forums for it ... but wasn't reinstated at that point. I personally was keeping control of the guild until after Semp had taken those couple weeks off and cooled down and so when Semp found out Persephony lied and blasted Pers for it, that was Semp as an individual without any PCs in the guild doing it.

Toshiko: why do u say avenger will support your story if he is his cousin?
Toshiko: shouldnt he help him?
Persephony: exceot that Semphere did the same to him as well only avenger caved, was afraid of what ppl might think and left naked

MELANNE'S OBSERVATION: Not true, again.

Toshiko: ok, well i hope u understand that im going to speak with semp about this, i cant leave a guild for someone story

Persephony: well go ahead, actually i really don't care if you stay, just don't be suprised when you find yourself being used and then having nothing when you get fed up with his abuse

SEMPHERE'S OBSERVATIONS: Obviously, someone here has trouble with reality. How do you give back what you never stole? Read the LC forum thread for details on that. That last statment by Persephony is just flat out illogical, and shows just how far Persephony will go to manipulate people for his personal vendetta against me. If he "really didn't care," why is he assaulting our applicants with his propoganda? Quite simple. He can't stand competition and knows that we can help others as much as we helped him (if not more).

MELANNE'S OBSERVATIONS: Semphere, he has rationalized himself to the point where he thinks he's right. It's not a 'vendetta' at that point, it's a duty of honor. He truly sees himself as the injured party and doing what is right and just by warning people about what he sees as a monster. Yes, his Real Life is so petty and disappointing he's validating himself by a game. Pitiful.
